Increase Your Happiness In As Little As 15 Minutes Per Day

What if you could take two hours a week and be guaranteed an increase in your mental well-being? Of course, I am not saying there is anything wrong with your current mental state, Everyone could use a boost while being buried under stress, pressures, and day-to-day living. What is the solution? According to researchers from the University of Western Australia*, if you spend two hours a week doing something art related then, BOOM! mental well-being is kicked up a notch.

I know, (I really do know!), there is no way you have an extra two hours a week to do something creative. However, hear me out. First of all, the two hours do not need to happen all at the same time. Second, I’m not necessarily talking about the act of picking up a brush or guitar. If you consume art rather than create it, the benefits of doing so are still in effect.

There are two ways to engage in the arts to get this benefit. The first is to take action by writing, painting, piano playing, etc. You can also enjoy the arts by attending a concert or performance. Yes, even making a playlist on Spotify or iTunes counts.

Do the math…in as little as 15 minutes a day, you can increase your happiness, confidence and self-esteem as well as lower your stress and enhance your health. This gives a whole new meaning to the phrase, Just Do It!
